A Somerset pub takes wine lovers back to the year 1979 for the bank holiday weekend

A pub in Yeovil, Somerset, will be serving six wines that each have a connection with the year 1979 during a 20-day wine festival.

It was back in 1979 that pub operator J D Wetherspoon was founded and the festival at the William Dampier in Middle Street is being held to commemorate its 30-year anniversary.

The wines are being served in the pub for the first time and will be available from Friday, August 28, until Wednesday, September 16, inclusive.Read more
