Londoners called to vote for their best London Restaurant Festival menu

Visitors to the London Restaurant Festival - starting this weekend - are being asked to vote for their favourite menu.

Those attending the array of events on offer will  be asked to vote before the final day of the festival on the 13 October 2009.

Each menu offers a range of wonderful dishes at discounted, fixed prices, which start from £10 for lunch and £15 for dinner.

A glass of wine or two will also be offer to compliment the dishes.Read more

Highlights announced for the festival dubbed the Edinburgh festival of food and wine

Top chefs gathered in London’s Convent Garden to start the one month countdown to the first London Restaurant Festival.

Taking place for one mouth-watering week from the 8 –13 October, the event is hoping to become the Edinburgh Festival of the food world and aims to boost restaurant sales by 20%.

Highlights include one night with hot headed chef Gordon Ramsay who will be joining the line-up of famous chefs who will be cooking dinner for guests on the London Eye. One capsule is going to be turned into a unique revolving dining room for each evening of the festival with a different chef in charge each night. Read more

The six-day London Restaurant Festival (8 – 13 October 2009) will give members of the public a chance to sample the top restaurants in London.

On Saturday 10 October, a fleet of Routemaster buses will take guests on a Gourmet Odyssey of London, in association with GH Mumm Champagne.Read more
